Hardware stamping is a process that uses punching machines and molds to deform or fracture iron,aluminum,copper,and other sheet metal and heterosexual materials,achieving a certain shape and size.Hardware stamping is sometimes also known as sheet metal forming,but there is a slight difference.The so-called sheet metal forming refers to using sheet metal,thin-walled pipes,thin profiles,etc.as raw materials.
What is a stamped part?
The forming and processing method of obtaining the required shape and size of workpieces by applying external forces to sheets,strips,pipes,and profiles through punching machines and molds,resulting in plastic deformation or separation.The resulting workpieces are stamped parts.
Hardware stamping parts are formed by applying external forces on plates,strips,pipes,and profiles using a press and mold,causing plastic deformation or separation,in order to obtain the required shape and size of the workpiece(stamping part).Stamping and forging both belong to plastic processing(or pressure processing),collectively known as forging.The stamping blanks are mainly hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel plates and strips.
What is a stamping die?
Stamping die is a special process equipment used in cold stamping processing to process materials(metal or non-metal)into parts(or semi-finished products),known as cold stamping die(commonly known as cold stamping die).Stamping is a pressure processing method that uses a mold installed on a press to apply pressure to a material at room temperature,causing separation or plastic deformation,in order to obtain the required parts.
